02 | Market Size

Europe is looking for production capacity — Poland has it

The European lingerie market reached a value of $12.5 billion in 2025 and is growing at a rate of 5.7% annually—to $22.5 billion by 2035. Germany generates the highest demand (24% of the market), accounting for 42.5% of Polish exports of women’s lingerie.

Poland is the 8th largest lingerie market in Europe (€1.117 billion)—yet it ranks only 16th globally in exports. This disparity, combined with nearshoring and rising logistics costs from Asia, opens up enormous opportunities for rebuilding domestic production capacity.

The infrastructure already exists: 98 major lingerie manufacturers (PKD 14.14.Z) and hundreds of workshops, concentrated in the Łódź–Głowno and Białystok regions. The apparel and lingerie industry generated PLN 98.6 billion in revenue in 2023, and fashion e-commerce is growing by 9–10% annually.
